The 2018 Legacy Ball is racing toward the horizon! Be our guest for the only Derby Weekend event in Lexington, KY that celebrates the rich diversity of Kentucky’s horse racing history. The Legacy Ball is a night of elegance, fine food, live entertainment, simulated horse race betting and Bourbon in an exclusive venue, The Woodford Reserve Club at Kroger Field.

Legacy Ball proceeds benefit racially diverse local students with scholarships to in-state Universities. Last year, Legacy Equine Foundation drafted a $30,000 Scholarship Endowment in partnership with University of Kentucky College of Agriculture. As well as, established the Legacy Equine Academy in Fayette County Public Schools. LEA focuses on equine industry education and work force development for local students in 6th through 12th grade.

“We are very proud to join Legacy Ball 2018 as a participating sponsor of this year’s event during Kentucky Derby week,” said Craig Fravel, Breeders’ Cup President and CEO. “The Legacy Ball’s heritage of honoring the contributions of African Americans in Thoroughbred racing combined with the Legacy Equine Academy’s mission of connecting a racially diverse community of youngsters to become active participants in the racing’ industry, are common goals that we gladly support.”
